Another girly card today for my friend's daughter - I used a lovely bright Sandylion paper called Hoopsy Daisy and added an element sticker from the Two Scoops range. The image I printed from Pink Petticoat and coloured using pens, mounted onto yellow card and then gold mirri and finally mounted onto card with foam tabs to give some dimension. Two flower elements with gold brad to finish. Thanks for visiting.

Another card using the resist technique - I thought I would go all girly and
use pink as I have a friend whose birthday it is next week . I love the effect this
technique produces. Now to get back to making some Christmas cards !
Thanks for looking.

At last, a new technique for me :) I found this technique fully explained on Deby's website - Just Add Love - and think the finished card is just lovely. I stamped the cow parsley image from the Elusive Images set with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I then overstamped the image with a brown pigment ink pad. The card was then sprayed with Creme De Cocoa Glimmer Mist which allowed the stamping to bleed and give a softer image. The tag was misted with the Glimmer Mist and stamped with a saying by Picasso. I then added the ribbon and mounted the cream card onto beige card and just touched the edges with the brown ink pad. This was then mounted onto the cream card - I really enjoyed making this card and will post pics when I have played around some more with different stamps and colours of Glimmer Mists. Thanks ever so much to Deby for her instructions and inspiration. Thanks for visiting.

It seems quite a while since I updated my Blog, I have been quite busy making christmas cards and christmas atc for swaps but have now managed to try out some more new stamps from Graphicus. I stamped the snowflake stamp and embossed with gold powder onto cream card. I then stamped the town image stamp on the first card with gold powder and with clear on the second card. The gold image was then mounted onto brown card and then gold mirri card and mounted onto card along with greeting. The clear image is mounted onto gold mirri card, snowflake embellishment added which gives a lovely sparkle and a greeting mounted onto gold mirri card. I am really pleased with the finished results. Thanks for looking.

Fat Book pages for CSF October 3x3 swap

I have really enjoyed crafting these 3 Fat Book pages for a swap I am in on CSF. The stamps are from SSP Guild 1 & 2 mags. I have used the stamps as background stamps and also stamped part of the image onto stampboard. I have stamped the main image onto another piece of card using Versamark ink and spritzing with Gold Shimmer spray. I used Tim Holtz Distress inks which give a lovely finish. Thanks for looking.

Christmas stamp - Creative Expressions

These are two cards made using the christmas stamp, which was my first purchase at Ally Pally - I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I love the simplicity of the cards, one I embossed in silver and the other in gold, mounted onto corresponding mirri card and finished with a star brad. Thanks for looking.

Graphicus Guild stamp

This is another first use of a stamp - Graphicus Guild tree stamp. I inked the stamp using Versamark and embossed in silver onto dark blue card. I then mounted onto gold mirri card, painted the ground and hill using Stargazer water colours - these are so shimmery, not sure it comes across on the pic. I stamped and embossed the leaf with gold powder onto brown card and then stamped the acorns and Fruitfulness banner onto gold mirri card with Versafine and embossed with clear powder, these were attached to the card with foam pads. I am sure I shall get some 'mileage' from this lovely stamp. Thanks for looking.

Dragonfly Dreams stamps - SSP Guild

This is my first card using the Dragonfly Dreams stamps from SSP Guild - I didn't have all the colours which were given as examples on the Guild page but I was so impatient to use the stamps that I decided to improvise...and I am quite pleased with the result. A simple but pretty card I think. Thanks for looking.

Birthday Fat Book page and cards for Craft Swap Forum friends

I haven't had much time for blogging for a few days but these are a couple of birthday cards and Fat Book page for friends on Craft Swap Forum. I have also made a couple of Halloween cards for a Trick/Treat swap on CSF - I can't post at the moment though as I don't want to spoil the surprise or shock - as the case might be ! Thanks for looking.

SSP Guild Members - Ally Pally - Sept 08

Well here I am back home after 4 days in London - phew - well and truly shattered. What a lovely time I had on Saturday at Ally Pally. Here is the pic of some of my friends from the SSP Guild - starting from back left : Vonny, Cheryl, Jo, Becky and of course, moi, Janet or janeyc49 !
It was lovely being able to put faces to names and we also had an ATC swap amongst ourselves :) It was really lovely to meet up and hopefully we shall be able to do so again in the near future. I didn't overspend, but it was lovely to see all the new crafting goods and to indulge in a few 'goodies'. I know some of the Guild members were hoping to go on the Sunday - do hope you all had a lovely time. It was just a shame that we were all indoors on one of the hottest weekends of the year !!

Hi, I have had a very busy week and not had much time for posting - I have joined a swap on CSF which is to produce 8 Altered House shapes - these were a free download shape from a CSF member - Dan. I have had so much fun playing with these shapes but I still have another 3 to make. Hope you like them and a really big thanks to Dan for the idea. Will post the last 3, as and when I manage to get them done which must be before Thursday as I am going to London for the Ally Pally show :)

Back home from holiday - 'itching' to craft !

Hi, here I am all refreshed back from holiday. A full week with no crafting, only reading craft magazines - I have come home 'itching' to craft ! These two cards are for a challenge on CSF - the challenge was to make something for a man. The first card was made before I went on holiday - I used part of a map for the background, stamped the motorbike and matted and layered onto brown and then gold mirri card. I added a gold peel-off and a couple of gold stars.

For the second card I have used Creative Imaginations paper and embellishment by Marah Johnson. I love the epoxy sticker sentiment which I mounted onto a piece of the backing paper and then silver mirri card. A silver peel-off border finishes the card. This was designed for a guy who was once a 'goth'.

Thanks for visiting.

Lola Rose Birthday Card

I think I must be 'on a roll' - another birthday card done !
I love the Lola Rose papers from Pink Petticoat- I used the horizontal wavy lines for the
backing paper then printed the cute image onto card, matted onto purple card and then silver mirri card, coloured in with Whispers pens. Finished with some lilac ribbon & Happy Birthday sentiment.

Sarah Kay Birthday Card - Papertake Weekly Challenge

What terrible weather we have had today - at least I don't feel
guilty crafting, even though I have several flower pots which need attention !
I have a few birthday cards to make this week and this is my first girly one.
I have used a Sarah Kay stamp and free download papers from Shabby Princess -
Harvest spice, I think the colours are gorgeous and just love the paper ribbon.
I have added a couple of Maya Road felt flowers with different gold brads.
Thanks for looking.

Dutch Dare Card Challenge

This is my girly card for the Dutch Dare Card Challenge
this week. I love the Tilda stamps they are so versatile.
Thanks for looking.

Graphicus Guild Stamp- Scrummy Stash Cafe Challenge

I have been 'itching' to use this lovely stamp which was part
of welcome pack from Graphicus Guild. I think it just lends
itself beautifully when a quick card is needed. I stamped it in
Versacolour - Violet, then embossed with clear powder. I coloured
with Whispers pens, mounted onto dark and light violet mats and then
silver mirri card. Embellished with violet ribbon and stones. I think
this is a really pretty little card and is my entry into the Scrummy
Stash Cafe Challenge.
Thanks for looking

CSF Challenge - Christmas

I have really enjoyed making this challenge for a forum that
I am on. I have covered the card with Basic Grey Figgy paper,
matted my Let It Snow stamp onto silver mirri card and then onto
another mat covered with the Figgy paper and finished by adding a
couple of brads and ribbon onto the corners. Thanks for looking.

Tilda & Co - Challenge 32

Here is my card for Tilda & Co - Cold as Ice challenge 32

I have covered my card with Sandylion paper. I then stamped with
small snowflake stamp onto white card using both white and blue
embossing powders, then overstamped with large snowflake stamp
a couple of times with dark blue powder. This I then used as a mat
for more of the backing paper matted onto card and stapled the
ribbons to. Tilda was stamped with blue ink and clear embossed onto
white card, matted onto two blue mats, coloured with felt pens and
gelly roll pen. I have used clear glitter glue to highlight Tilda, this is
really sparkly but doesn't show up too well on the pic. I added 3 clear
stones to finish.

Thanks for looking.
